Negotiate Meta E4
I’m in the team matching phase the manager said it was straight to be remote but he doesn’t think it would be allowed due to leveling but in 18 months definitely could apply and probably will get it. But said I could try to get an exception with the offer. Want to know how I can negotiate with recruiter I want to say something like I would take an X% pay cut for remote status Current TC: 278 L5
It’s not about the pay. Most people are happy to intake a pay cut for remote. Remote at meta is not the default anymore. Only E6 and above can negotiate that during offer. Everyone else needs to be in the office for 18 months atleast
Impossible to get remote
No these are separate. For E4, you are a grunt so they will want you in office for 18 months. That is nonnegotiable. Afterwards you can go remote, but they will give you a pay cut of up to 15%.
