Thinking of switching from Chase checking account to SoFi checking account
What do you think? Any pros and cons? Does it matter if I’m a non resident alien? Where do you recommend I park my salary? Is the inconvenience of the change worth the returns?
Chase is pretty cheap. Even in savings accounts, they don’t give a lot of interest.
Yeah I moved my savings to Wealthfront. High yield saving accounts are better than the traditional ones in the bank
I just canceled my chase accounts. Got tired of $1500 minimum and zero/low interest accounts. They are a ton of chase branches in New York if convenience is important.
Good point For cash withdrawals and other banking needs chase might have more advantage than SoFi 🤔
I have BofA and SoFi. Keep about $500 in BofA for cash withdrawals/transactions, and the rest in SoFi. SoFi is so much better than Chase, make the switch
If someone is interested in Chase credit cards, then helpful to have a relationship with chase thru checking / saving account relationships
That’s a solid one there; does the possibility of getting chase reserve with a good sign up bonus decrease if I use chase checking with the bare minimum 1500 dollar amount while leveraging the SoFi checking for the gains ?
I think a relationship really helps as long as you have the minimum balances.. I have got so many chase personal and business cards and reconsideration always approved based on my overall relationship

Why not just transfer to fidelity? Their base cash position yields almost 5%
