For your buyer agent, who did you go with and why? Seattle market, fwiw.
Always use a solid buyers (personal) agent. If you use a discount broker (Redfin), they don’t care as much and won’t negotiate as hard. I closed on a property recently, used a buyers agent that was phenomenal. He was there every step of my home buying process. In short you get what you pay for. DM me if you are interested and I can share his info.
I used Flyhomes trade up program. It’s a great experience. I’m pretty familiar with real estate in general so I don’t find a whole lot of value from the services provided by traditional brokers. With Flyhomes I can basically deploy the “shut up and take my money” strategy when buying a home. Feel free to DM.
Can you please provide more information on this?
Redfin can and will fuck you. Saving a few thousand for an agent that will cost you tens of thousands. Do the math

What do people use when selling a house? Traditional agent has fees that are way too high
My Redfin agent in Seattle was really good. I liked how easy it was to tour a bunch of homes with Redfin.
When buying I go through personal agent. When selling I go through buyers agent and reduce their commish to 1%
So you decide the agent after you pick from the bids while selling? No agent until then ? Open house etc
