so i have a interview at salesforce and recruiter told me that there is going to be a java coding challenge in the first round. this is the first time i am attending a interview with code challenge. i worked on erp products so my past interviews were on design and functional. any tips on how can i crack this interview?
Check on glassdoor too
It is going to be a simple programming problem. You would get 2 hrs to finish and submit it. And yes you can google while you are at it.
they are saying that there is going to be a google hangout session and i need to code in that. isnt this the usual ?
This may or may not apply to your interview, when I interviewed the google hangout session lasted only a few minutes for the sake of introduction to the problem, after which I spent about 2 hours programming the solution, and when I was done I called back on google hangout.
There are only few problems that SFDC uses. You don't need to go through Cracking the coding interview. It's mostly about how you approach a problem. The problem statement itself could be 4-5 pages. You are required to understand the problem and produce a solution. Later you explain your solution over hangout.
i was told that its going to be 45 mins interview and i may be required to write some code in hangout
how did it go? mind sharing?
i wrote that code and she was ok with it but she wanted me to optimize. as i couldnt optimize it i lost the interview
