Does anyone else derive pleasure when the stock of a company who rejected you or whose offer you declined goes down in value? I keep tabs on tickers for a few such companies. It makes red days a bit better, perhaps I should place some puts next.
😂 I’ll do this in the future, taking pleasure in the pain of others
This doesn't really sound like schadenfreude, it sounds more like being happy that you didn't miss out
You know that stocks go up and stocks go down, right? It’s not like the stock will stay down forever. If you really want to feel vindicated after a bad or unfair rejection, wait for that same person who rejected you to look for a job from you.
Don't let these companies live in your mind rent free.
Exactly. It’s not like the companies give a shit about the people they reject.
lol after getting turned down by Twitter, DoorDash, Zillow, and Docusign last year, I do get some satisfaction from watching their stock prices get cut down in half. I do feel bad for my fellow engineers working there, but it does make me feel better about not joining
You should have applied to Zendesk. We've gone down like the Titanic.
Nah, the value of my retirement pot depends on the performance of several companies that rejected me, as well as former employers that I hate.
every company that's denied me has 10xed 😭😭😭
Hood rejected you too , eh?
Only for companies that wasted my time interviewing and then lowballing or downlevelling.
Ooo nasty
