Is Genentech Hiring?
Saw the news about new office building? Are you expanding? What's it like over there? Are you all doing well? Love it or hate it?
Your experience will vary significantly based on the business function. Not sure if there is really much hiring going on now, but there was a public plan recently put forward to expand the SSF campus even further to accomodate nearly double the # of employees (up to 22k from 10k)
No, overall they are downsizing. New building is because they gave up 2 older leased buildings.
It’s good company for people wanna a retirement job not recommended for young graduates.
It all depends on what type of role you'd be looking for...
Most of the people here are in tech and not biotech. What I have heard that people like Genentech but they put in long hours
Yep, sums it up. It's a good place but people are intense and give alot.
