SSA and bonus evaluation
I Joined as L61 last September 2017. Got promoted to L62 now My compensation Promo - L61 to L62 Old base - 130K Merit increase - 5K Promo increase - 10K New Base - 145K (based on merit and promo increase above) Annual Bonus - 12.3K Annual Stock - 7.8K SSA - 40k How is this comparable at Microsoft. Is it a decent increase ? Feedback appreciated.
What's SSA?
Special stock award I think. Basically extra stock to prevent good performers from leaving MS afaik.

Looks pretty average, definitely middle of the pack rewards. Your base is very nice though, you're a little above avg.

Why do they base the current bonus based on past compensation ?
I don’t know but it seems to be true. I guess your on hire RSU was high, because your reward this year is not.

I should have got in as L62, but i think was under levelled

I think it is at current price
