I got promoted this cycle and I wanted to reward myself with a watch. I’m looking at the following watches (budget: ~7000 USD). Watch enthusiasts of Blind, please give your opinions or any other alternatives: Omega Speedmaster Omega Seamaster 300m Rolex Oyster Perpetual Rolex Datejust I know Tudor BB58 is also a solid option, but I’m not looking for that atm. Fire away!
Omega seamaster 300m coaxial. The Bond watch Mann.
I love the new Seamaster 300M. The only downside is that it doesn’t have a rich history like the Speedy, but it’s that’s a small price to pay for what you’re getting
I have a speedy. The 300m is still on my list
Casio calculator watch, maybe $100 on Amazon. Contribute $6900 to your retirement savings and work towards FIRE. You’ll thank me in 20 years!
IWC Mark XVIII on bracelet
Apple watch
you absolute understand OP’s “watch” wrong
Lol, I was big on watches until someone gave me the Apple watch, now I can't live without it 🤷♂️
Troll 🚨
How exactly do you enjoy having a watch? (I understand the smart watch for different types of notifications, but why a mechanical one?)
Do you want to buy new for the occasion or a like new catch is fine as well? I would get a LNIB Datejust for everyday watch. Second speedy if you have picked out a specific model. My personal favorite now is Blancpain FF and would highly recommend it if you are into divers
Thank you! I started looking at Blancpain FF and the movement + case back is a cracker. Plus the first commercial dive watch. Sweet!
I've been eyeing the Submariner for a while. IMO, It's just the perfect watch. Iconic, looks and reliable.
I love the no date sub as well. The only problem is the availability 😞
Rolex policy towards dealer allocations are annoying as hell. I have three Rolex watches and refuse to buy anything else from them until the watches I want to buy are available at MSRP.
Rolex millgaus would be my pick
Planet ocean 8500 or Good planet Wouldn’t go for tudor. Edit: added pic of good planet
Or a limited edition Speedmaster if you can get your hands on one. Those increase in value.
Curious about your thoughts on Tudor.
