stock grant price on joining Uber
I’m joining Uber engineering later this month. can anyone from uber tell me what price to expect the initial RSU grant at? what is the formula in general to determine the grant price? on what date does the grant generally happen after joining?

Grants are based on the average closing price of stock for the month of joining/starting. You could start working at the EOM and the price will already be determined. Otherwise, it's just a matter of tracking. No special formulas.
I thought it was the avg stock price month before joining
Yes. It is avg stock price of month prior to your join date. For example, if you join in April, you will get average of price in month of March. Confirmed this with a recruiter recently.
Wrong, confirmed from multiple sources it is the avg. price for the month of joining and not the prior month

Hi op, I asumed you joined Uber two months ago, so can you confirm it is the avg. price for the month of joining or the prior month?
All new hires who started in current month will be submitted for approval in following month. Number of RSUs would be calculated based on average closing price of prior month. E.g. for January new hires, grant price will be average of month of Januray and submitted for approval in February. Hope this makes it clear for all. This is current policy and may change in future.
It’s generally the average of daily closing prices of the month you join. You’ll know how many shares you have around 6 weeks after you join.
