What are the best which allow to work submit orders via API? Tried to find Robinhood or Tasty APIs - looks like they don’t have any?
Any if they have a website and you have Fiddler + a weekend to code up a client. For algo trading if you don’t have millions in equity, it’s also important to choose a broker that doesn’t charge fees and ideally that has features like fractional shares. Robinhood is a good option. It’s API isn’t published but it’s a pretty simple REST API.
If you want the same results as every failed developer who thinks they can algo trade Use the same tools and approach Lol
Unless you are doing HFT type stuff, the broker and specific API doesn’t matter much. The actual trading algorithm is what matters.
alpaca - wanted to register there, but it's US only, so not tested, but looks good. I have IB, and their trades are not commissions free, and their APIs are not documented... and their UI is from the 80s, and they have ton of issues like lags missing symbols and prices etc. Lighting fast execution though.
Interactive brokers Any other answer is probably some shitty toy broker like robinhood or those shitty api brokers for developers to waste money on
Ha I heard people lost much money with IB being unable to sell oil futures with negative price.
That’s because oil futures went negative for everyone at the exchange lol
