these days we see so many ppl starting youtube channel on cs concepts, systems desgn etc and eventually leaving their job to focus full time on this. perhaps they are great at their fields today...but the industry and engineering practices evolve..once out of industry, how do they keep themselves upto date with the latest? i know theres the internet to learn from, but is it really a match to realworld experience?i'm missing the long term strategy that would keep them sustainable for the longhaul....thoughts?
That’s why it’s better to follow people who spent more than a decade or two doing and reviewing designs. for example - shufflesharding youtube channel
Where'd you hear of shufflesharding? This actually seems like good content unlike the cs101 bs that's usually out there

r u saying they run their own startups alongside those youtube channels?
The most talented people are architects/consultants. They run blogs probably, a YouTube channel is a lot of work.
