Looking to buy a SUV. Not that urgent but got sick of my small car (Subaru BRZ). Bad for travel, bad for going for groceries etc. Want something bigger so, SUVs. Can you guys recommend reliable and good SUVs to test drive? Heard Mazda CX5 recommended a lot. Also, Rav4 Hybrid looks good. Relative of mine has Volvo Cx40, says it's great. Anything else that's not crazy expensive? BMW (which X), Audi (which Q), Volvo, Lexus, or other brands and model etc? Edit: Not huge family, usually just 2 people in the car. Not off roading as well. Mostly to be driving in the South Bay. Occasional trips to close CA towns. Looking for safety, reliability and driving experience with ability to handle occasional travel for packing couple baggages etc TC: 385k at current $GOOG price
Mazda CX 5 trunk space is not great. I am also in the market but just not able to find one that satisfies my needs and not very expensive.
GLC300 or GLE
Check out the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. It has great features and tech for 35K.
It does have ALL the tech for a very low price . But itās actually very small. Eve with third row down , cargo space is just too little. And third row is so small you canāt even keep your dog there
3rd row is just a sales gimmick. With the 3rd row down itās one of the largest compact SUVs
Model Y or step it up and get the Plaid X. Crazy value for money and you can afford it.. Don't be cheap.
Shut up
I don't have a house and live in a apartment so charging is not possible
I had Subaru Forester with turbo engine. It was great but not reliable as Toyota
Santa Fe available with discounts. Huge trunk space. Same class as cx5 and rav4
Discounts where?
Whatās your budget? Though canāt go wrong with a RAV4 hybrid
Rav4 Prime
Depends on your priorities. Off-roading? Big family hauler? Reliability? Driving experience? Safety? Luxury? Cost? EV? Canāt get everything- thereās always a trade off.
Subaru outback or forrester
outback is nice (xt), but turbo + cvt and the resulting lag (together with auto stop-start that you need to disable each start) may drive you crazy forester is slow rav/crv slow and small bmw/audi expensive and they say unreliable (did not check) iād look for a mid size asian suv with 3l+ v6 and an automatic transmission (honda, toyota, acura, lexus), e.g. pilot, highlander, mdx, ā¦ if you are into outdoors, look at 4runner (or outback if you can live with the lag) Mazda is interesting, but smallish and has anā¦ unconventional engine volvo xc40 - very small. xc60 folks say unreliable. xc90 rumor is shares reliability issues with q7
Outback/forester are the cargo shorts of the car world. If thatās your bag, go for it
