Folks at Pure Storage, I quickly skimmed over your website, seems like a data storage solution, but what does it exactly mean? Can you share who your audience is? Why should we consider Pure storage, instead of relying on Snowflake, AWS, GCP to host our data? Thank you for your answer
Store virgins, doh!
You got it right
Because not everything is on the cloud, like, secure stuff you cannot trust the outside. Cloud is also expensive. Pure basically does flash storage servers like those sold by dell etc. If I understand correctly they have some proprietary deduplication technology and they have spare parts close to large customers that can be delivered within a few hours.
I can do deduplication.
How much do you charge? And what if customers want on premise
Let me chatgpt that for you… Pure Storage is a company that specializes in providing enterprise data storage solutions, including all-flash and flash-to-disk hybrid storage arrays. Their products are designed to offer high performance, reliability, and scalability for a wide range of data storage needs. Pure Storage's offerings are particularly focused on applications requiring high-speed access to data, such as databases, virtualization, and cloud computing environments. The company's storage solutions are built around the concept of simplifying data management and reducing the complexity and cost associated with traditional storage systems. Pure Storage arrays use proprietary technology to provide data deduplication, compression, and optimization techniques, aiming to maximize storage efficiency and reduce overall storage costs. In addition to hardware, Pure Storage offers software tools for data management, including snapshots, cloning, and encryption, to ensure data security and facilitate disaster recovery and data analysis. Their products are used by various industries, including finance, healthcare, education, government, and technology, helping organizations manage their critical data more efficiently and effectively.
Pure Storage and Snowflake offer distinct services within the data management and storage landscape, catering to different needs and use cases. **Pure Storage** specializes in enterprise data storage solutions, focusing on hardware and software products designed for on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. Their offerings mainly include all-flash and flash-to-disk hybrid storage arrays, which are engineered to provide high-speed, reliable, and scalable storage for a variety of applications such as databases, virtualization, and cloud computing. Pure Storage solutions are aimed at enhancing the performance and efficiency of data centers with a focus on storage consolidation, data management, and data protection. **Snowflake**, on the other hand, provides a cloud-based data warehousing platform that enables data storage, processing, and analytic solutions entirely in the cloud. Snowflake's platform is designed to simplify data warehousing, data lakes, and data engineering, making it easier for organizations to store, integrate, and analyze large volumes of data across multiple clouds (such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform) without having to manage the underlying hardware infrastructure. It offers a unique architecture that separates compute from storage, allowing customers to scale each independently and pay only for what they use, which enhances flexibility and cost efficiency. **Key Differences**: - **Focus and Offering**: Pure Storage focuses on physical and virtual storage solutions that can be deployed in data centers and hybrid cloud environments, whereas Snowflake offers a cloud-native data warehousing service that emphasizes on data analytics and management. -
OP let me know if you have any more questions I will pass them on to chatgpt 👍
We're a op-prem all flash storage company, not a DB company!
YouTube it
Have a look at Portworx, Pure Storage product.
Hey, can I dm you?? I am currently interviewing for pure storage role.
Most of the large enterprise isn’t in the cloud for everything, running on prem can be a ton more efficient, hence Pure’s market.

Peaceful Protest Hasn’t Worked and Has Been Met With Aggression.
Pure storage? It’s in the name bud.
before jumping in to comments to show how smart you are, read the contents of the question. I am genuinely trying to understand what exactly Pure Storage provides as a value, why can't I just rely on block or object storages available in cloud providers or why not fully delegate the task of storing data to Snowflake? what's the added benefit of having Pure Storage, if I am in the cloud. How about if I am not in the cloud and manage my own data centers, why should we buy from Pure Storage
Take it easy bruh. It’s a silly comment with no insight. Apologies if you feel insulted.
