Looking for referrals. Using a friend's official email to post, since my work email is no longer active. I am based out of India and was working at an IT major. Left my job few months ago due to family emergencies( maternal grandfather was hospitalised and subsequently passed away, father had heart complications and had to install a pacemaker). Why do people add a picture on resumes?
Very common outside of the US.
People are using some popular templates, that's why it's common. There is no mandatory requirement. I usually suggest removing it whenever I come across Resume with photo

You are an MBA from the new IIM Mumbai nice and Btech from IEM Kolkata. With these two information itself it’s enough to undox you. Be more careful mate here but in this case it might be helpful too. Strat roles are anyways less and its now further low. If you followed layoffs lot of Program and PM roles were eliminated.
It was kind of intentional. Strat roles are minuscle normally. And given the layoffs, then even less as you mentioned. But i gotta keep trying.
