I'm in a startup which currently has ~100 people. I was hire #10 and have since seen my coworkers grow into bigger roles while I've stagnated. I was the first scrum master they hired. Scrum masters, how have you grown into C-suite roles? Career background I've spent a decade in working retail mostly Target then later Bed Bath and Beyond. BBY closed the store I worked at so I transitioned to Scrum Master at capital one. Since then I've joined a startup as a founding scrum master.
Analytics skills, SQL/dashboarding, this let's you dig in and see what's going on in systems
I'm more of a people person; I don't see the CTO writing SQL
Well, do something technical. You need skills if you want to be the CTO. If you're a people person go into HR or Sales.
Join startup replacing scrum master with AI, at least get some equity before it totally obsoletes you
You should laterally move into product roles.
The fact that scrum master exist makes me confident I’ll always be employed somewhere
Op should list their company so everyone knows which company to never join
What startup hires a scrum master as employee #10? If the founders can’t handle single digit employees how are they going to run the company at series A/B/C?
Why did the Scrum Master bring a ladder to work? Because they heard their job involved climbing over obstacles, but they just ended up stepping on everyone’s toes instead!
Why did the Scrum Master cross the road? To avoid having to actually deliver anything of value on the other side!
Oh boy, here come the comments.
Hey man it’s been sane so far
