    I once worked in one of them while I was single. I have to say I liked it very much.

    My typical day was like:
    Get on the company shuttle bus(all over the city) at 9am and arrive at office 9:30am.
    Breakfast until 10am
    Work until 12pm
    Lunch until 1pm
    Noon nap until 2:30pm (in China people have power nap at the noon!!!)
    Work until 6pm
    Super until 7pm(free)
    Work or play some video games(Tencent is the biggest game company in the world by revenue so playing games in office is completely ok) until 8pm
    Take the company shuttle bus home at 8:20pm and arrive at home 9pm
    That’s what we called 995. But actually the working hour per day is still 8 hours.
    Now I am working abroad and really miss the noon nap while sometimes I am so sleepy in the afternoon

      Really? My current colleague whose last company was Alibaba China (Hangzhou) said his pay was bad and much lower than amazon apple here — about 300K CNY at 30% tax rate. Went on to take his masters here and now sitting at 200K USD (I assume for new grad) at similar tax rate

    • We have offices in the US that aren't the companies we own. Our HQ is in Palo Alto, and we've got offices all along the west coast (Seattle, multiple in LA). Pay is alright, perks are shit.
