We need to normalize not subsidizing businesses with tips. You get my business, price your product accordingly to make it work.

American here who doesn’t tip

Amazon danpheerey Nov 25, 2021

@TechSuckz: you’re a racist making racist assumptions. I’m an American 🇺🇸 and I don’t tip where I can get away with it, including doordash. It may pinch gig workers a little in the short term but long term, if we all don’t tip, then the system must change. We need the gig and restaurant workers to revolt against their employers and demand living wages instead of tips from customers. If you want me to pay a higher price for the dish, that’s fine, but I’m not tipping. List the actual price on the menu.

Tip with Cash so it doesn’t get taxed, minimum 10 bucks, 15-20% over that.

Amazon visaSlave Nov 25, 2021

Yeah you work your ass off and pay taxes but you don't want others to pay tax? This is perplexing

I don’t tip. I only tip if the delivery was made in inclement weather or some other extra circumstances. I’m sorry but my manager doesn’t give me extra money with every deliverable or for just doing my job. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Really? Hope you are kidding...

Definitely you are not located in US, are you?

Salesforce marcyyy Nov 25, 2021

I just tip $2/mi since I don’t really order that much food.

Uber unXD11 Nov 25, 2021

I generally try to pick up, since I have a car and don’t mind the drive. If I do use delivery, at least 10+ to make it worth it for someone to deliver.

how does Uber eats pay?

Uber Press F Nov 25, 2021

That’s a good question - better than you’d think. This guy made 8k/mo for an Uber Eats challenge. It’s probably atypical, but shows that it can be lucrative for couriers. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=URPH1rvY-Dc

Generally I prefer to pick up myself. Standard tip $3 per order. If it's particularly far or a large order, $5. Doordash pays their drivers like shit so you should definitely tip at least $3. I don't agree with tipping culture but not tipping the driver isn't the right way to protest this

Amazon drone321 Nov 25, 2021

Sure is. No tips, no drivers, businesses have to raise pay to attract drivers. Vote with your wallet!

Google 100zeros Nov 25, 2021

Somewhere between 3-5 bucks an order. The price of my food has little effect on how hard it is to carry it from point A to point B

Google cBoT27 Nov 25, 2021

Business should not market a super low price tag and then guilt the customer to make up the difference, it’s a shitty business model, period.

Amazon burnital Nov 25, 2021

$5 flat for all deliveries. Unless it's a huge order for a party in which case ,$10

Amazon nutbuster Nov 25, 2021

$0 for deliveries always, those who tip more are losers supporting a shit business model
