Most rewarding part of being a manager is when your whole team is killing it - best professional feeling 375 + paper money #management #leadership
Did you hire them or inherit them? If you hired them, please elaborate on your hiring/interviews
Hired - I built my current org (literally - it’s a startup so this business line started as just me). Lot of hiring philosophy, but the most important is to hire for values, not skillsets, and 0 tolerance for dickheads. One dickhead can cost you half your team.
Did you buy them free lunch the least ?
Office has free lunch
But I’ve bought them some nice wine to celebrate 😀
you sir are perfect manager. taking credit for IC accomplishments
Lol this was a good one. Wish I could take credit, but it’s their work, hence the post of how proud I am of them.
Wait till you are forced to let some of them go because of "changed business priorities".
Don’t overhire and it’s not a problem. I’d quit to save my team. Don’t need the money anymore and some things are more important than another dollar.
Good for you. You should rather convey that to your team directly and give them some reward instead of posting in blind anonymously? 🤔
Did that, max band bonuses + I worked harder on promo packets than anything else this year.
