Im currently and engineer at a non mtv office. im about to get promoted to l4 (almost garenteed). I just had an interview for e4 at fb last week. I think it went pretty well. should I transfer with google or switch to fb. I'm not sure of TC at either. Do google l4 get median tc on promotion? perf will be cme (4 weeks after joining), see, s+promo(according to manager) tc 120 yoe 1.25
Really? I was under impression you renegotiate when moving countries. L4s here get like 150 max and in USA get much more.
I'm in Singapore
Obviously biased but I like it here and joining at a higher provides higher TC than promotion
Assume you don’t have much granted rsu, the best way to keep high tc at google is go to fb us and back to google as returned hire.
Do we not care about English proficiency at all anymore?
Nope. Only LC
For what it's worth, autocorrect seems disabled on blind when creating a new post, which could be responsible for some of the spelling mistakes. It's a huge pain in the ass.
wow 1.2years to google l4 and fb interview for e4, that's amazing
I was an intern at both which helped. But also spent 6 years at uni so I'm pretty old for having just 1 yoe
Wait until promotion is final at least. Only a bit over a year, what's the hurry? You should get more refresh. (I'm ex-googler)
And get disappointed then? Refresh alone is shit.
Unless things completely suck for you at G (or eg project was cancelled), leaving after 1.25 years doesn't necessarily look awesome... FB should still be there in a year to hop to, and you'll be able to round out your G experience.
I really like my team but I want to move to usa
Given that I'm going to be switching teams anyway what do you think then?
Google if you value WLB, FB if you don’t mind getting burned out in exchange for lots of RSUs
Promotion doesn't give you next level equity, nor a sign on bonus.
What's your visa/citizenship situation?
Special us visa possible no need for h1b
