Hello, Recently i appeared for CSA - Azure core role at a MS Hiring event and i was told my feedback was very positive but i did no align directly to Azure Core role and was referred to Apps team. The recruiter asked me to apply to Apps roles if i see any. I applied to Apps and innovation team and was went through the interview process again. After the 2nd grind i was told a week later by a new recruiter that my feedback was very positive however because of some internal hiring reviews it would take a couple of weeks more to get a decision. She also mentioned that decision could be anything weather to Hire or not Hire. Is the hiring paused for CSA roles in Apps and other teams? If yes why are they conducting interviews and what are my chances now?
If you did well on the interview you’ll be added to a Ready-To-Hire list. Don’t fret.
Microsoft recruiting is really slow. If your other offer can wait, try to put it off as long as you can
I’ve been waiting for HR to open up finals days. Not all CSA roles are the same, but hiring has slowed dramatically. Give it some time, if you’re identified as someone they want, they’ll try and get you but it’ll take longer than you expect
Very much org and team dependent. We filled 2 open spots this week in my field CSA team. The interview process is slow, but we're finally seeing some progress.
Thank you...but do you think i still stand a chance? I have another offer from elsewhere and was evaluating if it's worth waiting.
It sounds like you received good feedback. As anther person posted, that should land you on the ready-to-hire list and they're just looking to match you to a team. However, that process can be slow - weeks, not days. If you have a compelling offer in hand, you need to weigh the cost of passing while you wait to hear back from MSFT.
