Does anyone have tips on interviewing at Oyster or currently working there and can provide details on culture, wlb? Role is non technical. Thx Tc: $180
I work at Oyster and genuinely like working here. It’s going through hyper growth both in customers and headcount so average tenure is <3 months for ~300 people. That’s both a pro (define and own your role) and a con (lots of overlapping initiatives and miscommunications across teams). We embrace asynchronous work at all levels and generally respect meeting blockers such as “kids wake-up routine” and “afternoon nap”. One of my direct reports is literally on the other side of the world. It’s working fine. I have not met anyone who is passive aggressive or has a secret agenda. Interviewing tip would be to give it all you have, be personable, and ask questions. Our hyper growth has translated into more press and subsequently job applicants. As a hiring manager I’ve had more great candidates than open positions and that’s awesome but also shitty. Sometimes I’ve had to say “no, for now” to great candidates.
What’s the TC like for program managers or mid-level software engineers?
What's the position roughly speaking? I work at oyster, can answer questions if you have something more specific
Thanks! Its a pretty typical non technical program management role . Just wondering how stable the company is, outlook and overall culture?
Hey, I have been looking into Oyster together with Deel and Remote (interested in the sales side Senior or Enterprise AE). Would anyone know anything about how the sales culture or the metrics /targets are achievable or due to hyper groth everything is through the roof?
Would be interested to know the TC of pms at oyster? Looking at their director role. If anyone has any info
