Anyone ever transition from any role at a commercial bank (City National, Umpqua, BB&T, Comerica, etc.) to another field? The WLB is awesome - never had to work >40 hours in a week. But the comp/TC isn't where I'd like it to be. Considering taking courses to learn Python or something. Not sure where to go from here after a few years in banking. Not from a target school so IB/PE seems like it will be a stretch. Sign-on: 10k Base: 120k Discretionary annual: ~18k No equity TC this year: 148k
