Canada Express Entry

Has anyone here not received their H1B and moved to Canada through the express entry program? I’d love to connect and get some questions answered about the process. I’m on my 3rd attempt at H1B and thinking of Canada as an option. Any resources or people I can talk to about this will be a huge help!

If you are Indian, you are better off returning home to your country's expanding job market. Canada is over immigrated and there are not enough jobs, housing or healthcare for citizens and the huge influx of immigrants already there. I am a dual Canadian-US citizen so I understand the differences between the US and Canada.

Sure you can try. Canada seems charming until you step there and realize the sh*** going on there. You will struggle with basic needs like housing in a good area and traffic is comparable to LA on any good day . Finding a job that pays well is gona be tiring. Most if them ask for Canadian experience. I’m talking from experience !!

It depends .. if you love India and would appreciate India beauty with it’s challenges then better to go back. If quality of life matters to you but okay to struggle for housing and job, then Canada is okay. You should be okay with middle class life in Canada living in a townhome or condo with max 100-150k salary in a good year. Struggle is everywhere (US,India or Canada)and you have to accept type of struggle you would like to fight for.

Housing is a nightmare here for affordability, better off in the US.

What about just rental apartments? I don’t have any dependents

West coast, it's like 2400+ for a 500 sqft studio apartment, unless you plan to live about an hour drive out from where you work.

As a Japanese immigrant who moved to Canada without any family, friends, nor company sponsorship, and only a couple thousand dollars in savings, don’t move here! There’s only a handful of people who can live in Canada’s major cities without struggling or compromising on their quality of life. I’m 100% sure you won’t be able to live here.

Canada express entry with 550+ CRS score cutoff.. and $1 Mn homes in Toronto are waiting for you with 50% US salary jobs... 😂😂 Not worth it in current government regime...
