typical salary for SDE 2
just got a promotion to SDE2 at Amazon. worked at audible, made promo to SDE 1 at amazon, completed new project and launch, and made it to SDE2 last month. Curious what others at Amazon and FAANG are TC netting. 4 YOE, TC 165, NYC

4 years experience and in NYC. TC 165 with stock

My TC (NYC, SDE 2, 2.5 YOE) was 265k with a google competing offer
In Seattle the range for SDE2 is 182-242k. In premium markets like Bay Area/NYC it's something like 200k-280k. You are being underpaid for your role at the moment if you're making 165k.
