Are you not getting the interview already? I'd be surprised they won't interview Stanford PhD. Referral won't do anything besides help get interview
That's the issue. I have applied for a couple of positions at Apple and Google, but I've never got a chance.
Stanford ML graduate and you make only 150 with 7 years of experience?
Referrals aren't that useful in G. I think recruiters get less $ from a referral. I referred a personal friend who I know is really good - immediately rejected, even with a good resume. I had to ping multiple people to even get a phone screen (which of course he passed).
