I've been in Digital Marketing for nearly 7 years, and it's been a whirlwind. At first, it was full of excitement, but somehow, those 7 years just flew by. I didn't pay much attention to advancing my career; I was too busy traveling. Looking back, maybe I should have explored different paths earlier to see what suited me best. I've been considering learning programming and diving into the world of Data Science/Machine Learning. The idea of using data to uncover real meaningful insights sparked my curiosity. But if I'm heading in the wrong direction, I could really use some guidance on what to do next with my career. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Data science comes easier if you have domain knowledge and dedicate time to learn some coding and stats. Tons of idiots out there with a data science resume with nothing to offer in a specific industry or domain
Marketing sciences? Apply for jobs that require MMM
Talk to a real data scientist and ask them if their daily job is “using data to uncover real meaningful insights” first
Also I am trying to go in the opposite direction. Is your position getting vacant?
