Why do people think Israel is an apartheid state?
Palestinians who have Israeli citizenship, Arab Israelis, have the same rights as Jews. They make up more than 20% of the Israeli population. The way I understand, the argument is that Palestinians who live in Gaza and West Bank don't have the same rights so Israel is therefore an apartheid state. But it makes little sense since they are not Israeli citizens. No country in the world extends all their rights to non-citizens. Is USA an apartheid state because Indian H1Bs don't get the same rights as US citizens? OK Israel occupies West Bank. So what? Did USA give all American rights to Afghans while it had been occupying Afghanistan for 20 years? Did USSR give citizenship rights to Germans after WW2? And Gaza hasn't been occupied by Israel since 2005.
Arab Israelis have same rights as Jews is very notional. The real sucker with Israelis is the continued building of settlements in the Palestinian territory. I don’t agree with this as much as i don’t agree with the tactics of Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah … Still I don’t believe Israel is an apartheid state. They are defending the territory at all cost due to existential crisis.
Did you know Bedouins in Israel aren't even allowed to build bomb shelters or permanent structures in villages they have been living in since before Israel? Ask them if they have 'equal' rights. Most land inside the green line is off limits to Palestinian citizens of Israel. A large percentage of land in Israel is under the control of the Jewish National Fund (JNF), which has a: “specific mandate to develop land for and lease land only to Jews. Thus the 13 percent of land in Israel owned by the JNF is by definition off-limits to Palestinian Arab citizens, and when the ILA tenders leases for land owned by the JNF, it does so only to Jews—either Israeli citizens or Jews from the Diaspora."

They are allowed to build permanent structures with the proper licenses, just like anybody else. But nobody can build permanent structures that aren't authorized, regardless of whether they are Bedouin or not. So it has nothing to do with being Bedouin.
Israeli citizens, Arabs, Jews all have the same rights. Anyone saying they don’t has no clue. No one can build where they want in Israel without authority. Palestinians living in Palestinian Territories and Gaza are not Israeli citizens
I know an Arab Israeli who has moved to the US. They don’t have equal rights and yes, they think what is happening is Palestine is really sad and are firmly against the state.
People say that to forcefully express the disapproval of Israel, not to discuss the factual reality. The word “apartheid” is a slur in the modern political discourse.Just like “Nazi” is a slur. So you call people you don’t like Nazis and you call a state you don’t like an apartheid state.

Al Jazeera isn't exactly an objective source. And no, it's not true that both Jews and Palestinians live all over Israel as they state.
