Why Modi not asking for votes based on work?
Got an offer at Affirm for $250k TC, with about $100k/yr in RSUs. However, given their upcoming IPO, I'm curious how much upside there might be. Current TC: $250k, so not looking to change unless the IPO would increase that significantly.#affirm
What’s your YOE and role? That’s quite a bit of equity you got... you sure it’s 150 cash and 100 equity per year ? Not 100 equity / 4Y?
Affirm last raised money in 2019 at $2.9B valuation. If you are getting RSU at that price, it’s a good offer. 2x-3x upside based on recent ipo speculations.
DM me
why postpone the IPO?
Trying not to have it like 2 or 3x on day one like DoorDash. That’s bad because the company loses the money it should have made to the underwriters, who take in all that profit instead. So trying to price it high enough to avoid that.
@not_max, do you know why the ipo has been called off this month, what could be the potential list price?
This was something that scared me as well. It could be entirely above board, but the fact that they've been planning it for awhile and suddenly called off the IPO made me concerned.
I have invested pre ipo, holding off more than 3 years now, recent ipo's went like 20x , hope this comes through
In order to evaluate this offer, one needs to understand the upside for Affirm. You mentioned that RSUs will be given to you at $19/share. Do you know what is the company’s market cap at that price point?
You need to check the market cap/ valuation at which you are getting the offer. Pure stock price has no meaning, there could have been splits or dilution in funding rounds etc. Looks like they are set to IPO at $9B, what is the valuation you are getting stocks at? If its at 5B then you are getting an immediate 2x upside
I hope you took the offer OP
Affirm is set to ipo at $30-$38 , so you should definitely take that offer, immediate upside of 2x or more given current hot ipo market
It depends on what valuation your offer is? Given the recent estimate it could IPO at $10B
They didn't say the valuation, but the RSUs are for $19/each.
just WOW!!! 5X now.
