i want to buy 30k $ worth of uber stock via robinhood. can i do that? it says that my purchasing power is only 1000$. it may take some time for the amount to get transferred from my bank account to robinhood. can i use my complete buying power after that?
Why UBER? Interested to hear your position on it.
I’m long on Uber also, reasons being: 1. Ebitda positive core business (rides) with huge TAM and weak competition in NA and EMEA 2. Biggest cost is driver acquisition, which is much cheaper with high unemployment 3. High growth food and now grocery delivery businesses 4. Uber freight has big potential in a massive TAM, low digital penetration, fragmented marketplace 5. Increasingly SaaS-focused verticals (transit ticketing and Postmates’ stellar delivery backend) 6. High M&A activity+ strong engineering talent = opportunities for emergent business lines not yet anticipated 7. Large stakes in rivals who are among the top tech companies in high-growth regions (Grab, Didi, Yandex)
Great summary!
Uber has unlimited potential definitely buy
What do you guys think about Uber's ATG and autonomous driving future now that Amazon acquired Zoox? Competition in this space is getting crowded even for Uber when you have Google, Telsa and now Amazon in play.
Ya agree with this, don't think they have the war chest to win on autonomous driving Google or Tesla
It’s definitely a buy and op, just wait a few days until your funds are fully transferred to purchase
do I have to worry about margin calls if I wish to keep the stock long term, probably 10 years. I am not using any margin account? Just the regular one
Wow, that's a big position on Uber. Let's hope things start to open up soon.
Yes you should wait for ~2 business days to invest
Try other investment platforms, they may have higher caps
Uber freight is eating all the broker’s lunch
Get Robinhood Gold to transfer more money.
I am using Robinhood Gold. It gives instant access to up to 25K (no need to wait for bank transfer to complete in a few days). I am not using any margin, so only $6 per month for me.
