Anyone here works for CoStar? How is the company culture? Comp? WLB? #costargroup
Can anyone refer me to a Data Analyst position in Richmond, VA?
The culture is terrible. From the top down they claim to be a leader in real estate data but under the hood their tech is an absolute mess. It’s a good old boys club where even the good old boys are jumping ship. The engineers put out the same fires on a daily basis and there is no innovation because they don’t know what the f*** they are doing. They don’t do test driven development and their QA is sadly stuck in the early 2000’s doing manual testing against stored procs which are untestable.
Costar is a really good place to work, IMHO. The company is top-to-bottom focused around the CEO, Andy Florance and his vision for creating an integrated global real estate company. It is a very interesting ride. You need to work hard and be ready for a lot of change, but CoStar has been very good for me - have been here over 10 years. I love it, and can say it’s been a great fit. Compensation is good, but not the highest you can find. WLB is also on point - 40 hour weeks are the norm. 2 days home, 3 days in-office for tech roles. PTO is at or above industry standards.
How many days PTO/a year? Mind sharing your title and TC? Location? What is the tech stack you working with? Major layoffs recently?
And ofc thank you so much for sharing your experience
