update on Intel layoff
Any update on the layoff on intel blind channel? which orgs are on the chopping block?

Is that confirmed? Usually finance is one of the last orgs to be touched. Maybe intel has too many of them?

Usually if there’s announcements of planned layoff, that’s just fear mongering at work. And usually there won’t be any layoff and if there’s any, it will be very small number and not even a fraction of the planned %. The sudden ones without announcement/ notice, are the really big layoff. Just like those in 1972, 77, 91, 98, 99, 01, 03, 08-12. That’s how tech co roll/fold
The announcement was made because there was a leak and they had to save face. What were they going to do? Denying the leak or staying quiet is worse
Who they gonna put in the new 4 fabs in OH when it’s watertight in 2025? Deers, raccoon, skunk & bears from Yellowstone?
None of us bottom feeders know anything. We are all in the dark. Maybe we will find out something during the earnings call in two weeks.

MU are even more exposed than INTC. At least ops folks at INTC will be safe. Can’t say e same for ops folks at MU ID & UT. Just look at DRAM & NAND price drop which is coming to 3rd year soon is indeed surreal as it never happened for more than 18mths before
marketing and sales took the heaviest hit, maybe some in engineering, but I don't think there were many - need insider info to confirm. No one knows anything. There was some posts in the Intel sub that SMG will be heavily impacted, but these are all baseless rumors.
