Snap offer

I recently gave an interview at Snap, and they got back with an offer. The TC is much higher than my current and I was wondering if what they are offering is good for an Snap L4 in Bay Area. I am currently in NJ. Want to understand from savings perspective, since I would be moving from NJ to California. Snap TC: Base:170k Stocks:170k Current TC: Base: 126k Stocks: 45k L4 in Audible (the Amazon subsidiary) EDIT: YOE: 4 years

Yoe? How were the interviews?

Edited the post with YOE:4Years. Interviews were fairly easy, from what I read on blind, people said snaps hiring bar is high, maybe I got lucky. Had 1 phone screen and 5 onsite rounds. Onsite were 1 design, 3 coding and 1 with HM

Even if you get to L5 at Amazon, Snap's offer will be higher. I believe bottom of band at Amazon for L5 in Bay is around 210k. Take Snap! Congrats.

Yes thats good for the Bay, just dont inflate your lifestyle to match your new TC.. bay area COL is waaay more than jersey. Use a salary calculator to look at the difference between CoL in both states as well I moved from the bay to east coast as well so feel free to DM me I can answer any Qs.

According to levels.fyi that’s on the lower end (median is 375). But you are going from an l4 to basically the equivalent of amazon l5 at snap, so there’s that. How many yoe?

Updated post with YOE, it's 4 years.

Unless you have a higher competing offer, I don’t see how you could get much more, since I’m sure they’re aware that offer is higher than pretty much everywhere else for midlevel. Still an insane offer though, congrats.

Stocks should be 178k but looks like a pretty standard 4YOE (i.e. on the lower end) L4 offer
