What crime did trump commit?
Hows the company and the culture? Going to get an offer. I have read so many negative reviews about culture and the CEO. I didn’t plan to join there initially but I really liked the company mission and the work. Current 🥜 6 yoe
How was the interview process and difficulty?
I honestly don't understand the culture things mentioned. It. Sounds like talk from folks who haven't been in the industry long (or any tbh). It's a pretty transparent company generally and I have never felt the culture to be toxic, nothing close to it. I have seen people who have been let go claim it to be toxic only after the fact. I also am not omnipresent, so I don't mean to totally dismiss what others have felt. Maybe I am wrong and biased strongly only by my personal experiences (who wouldn't, but the bias is there)
Thanks for the reply. Do you think company is going somewhere since they have big competitors like Chime ? How are the challenges in terms of work and new projects ?
Chime is not really a direct competitor, Dave would be closer. I think they are postioned well. I am not at those other companies (branch, Dave, etc) but I feel there is a lot of headroom. Work is challenging. It is a unique space, from an engineering perspective its typical probably for this stage of growth, at least in the fundamentals (base engineering, infra etc). There is a lot of room for innovative solutions in core business space, and there is a good meritocracy of ideas at the company, much more than many tbh. You may need to vocalize and fight for it, but it will be heard.
Frankly I think there's some salty people out there... Maybe coming from a big company or looking for a place they don't need to present ownership. Work's rewarding and there's a ton of smart, good natured people, working together.
Do you think earnin is going somewhere. Recruiter low balled me and told me even with this offer, I will be millionaire in 3 years
I don’t work for Earnin and couldn’t comment on the company-related things. Industry wise, payday loan business has its own uncertainties and thing can go south rapidly due to the regulations.
Their CTO seems cool
