Recently offered an entry level engineering position in the Midwest. Was offered $80k base and was wondering if anyone negotiated up at all. Also, are there yearly bonuses? Current TC: $72k YOE: <1
Yearly bonus and raises. Always counter no matter what even if they’ll only go up a couple thousand don’t cheat yourself. Ask for 85 and you’ll probably get 82 or 83 but atleast it’s something
Always counter
That’s about right. You won’t get anymore than a few thousand out of them, if anything. They don’t really negotiate until you get into the staff and above ranks. Great place though.
Got $82k in the end. I’m happy as I mostly just wanted to get out of the dead end I’m currently working at.
Lockheed doesn’t pay FAANG wages but it’s a good place to work, learn, and grow. Welcome in!
I got an extra $2k or so on my entry level offer last week. Just sent them a quick email and next day got the revised letter

IRS Warns Thousands of Taxpayers They Could Face Jail Time
80k is about right for starting. You might be able to squeeze 2-3K more without them fighting you. You do get yearly bonus 3% average.
Good to know, thanks for the info.
