Tech is dead. Choose a different career
Lowball. Company would need to 10x for the comp to be any good
What should I ask for equity to make this offer meaningful?
Ok offer assuming your other offer is l5 e5. You can break even when it reaches 1b, and get rewarded if it goes IPO (means several billions) If you are l6 level, ask for more.
Did you get more options?
Lowball offer ..
For your experience, you should be getting above 0.2% series A options. Also, fintech space is so competitive and exit is not guaranteed. Salary should be ~200k average for senior+ level.. YMMV
