Help Needed Citibank VP vs New York Life CVP
I am currently interviewing at New York Life Corporate Vice President Model Risk role and Citibank Model Risk VP role in NYC. Any one knows how are the salary ranges for both the positions? Left NYL last year as CVP and was there for an year. Employee benefits were great and loved coworkers. Job itself can be slow, but super stable. Guaranteed 100% or more bonus. Endless meetings too, but it seems the same everywhere since pandemic. Great company to work for if you have family.
I have a offer from NYL and i will be speaking to compensation team next week. The HR told me bonus is 15% and the compensation team will discuss about base. What base i should negotiate? Is 190K - 200K base doable (Glassdoor range is 108k to 288K, pretty wide and hence don't know what to ask for) ? Can i negotiate the bonus percentage or is it capped?
15% is the target. If you’re any bit decent you’ll get way more than that
I joined NYL about a year ago. Worked in CITI before. NYL is way better in terms of culture, comp and WLB.

Per my friend who works in NYL, titles are analyst> associate > CVP (Level 5 and Level 6 - equivalent of director) > VP (equivalent of banking MD)
