California's case and death counts per capita numbers are rapidly accelerating. Now it is one of the worst places in the World, on par with TX and FL, and will likely exceed them soon. It is very uniformly distributed, except a few counties like Oregon border ones, tiny ones and SF (barely), everywhere is horrible: https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/coronavirus-us-cases.html! The republican ones (like Lassen) are very bad, but the liberal ones are not that different! It is equally bad for places with Hispanic-heavy and White-heavy populations, so one cannot also use it as excuse also. With many employers supporting WFH, nice weather to ventilate properly or do things outside (e.g. we have the luxury to do PCRs outside because it is not snowing), significant wealth of local governments (sure it is unequally distributed), low population density outside SF, some of the best healthcare institutions in the world (e.g. Stanford is advising the state or getting the rapid tests/treatments before many places in the US), low-use public transportation and high cars per capita, online retailers delivering things in 1-2 days at most places, really, the consequence is just horrible! Californian State and Local governments, and most Californian people have screwed up so badly! Shame on you!
Don't forget about California's massive population. California is currently ranked #32 out of 51 states including DC in COVID cases per capita, and #39 in deaths per capita so they're still doing reasonably well. Most of the cases are concentrated in the greater LA area.
For what it's worth, Texas is #28 in both cases and deaths per capita.
Weird to see lockdown central is just as bad as freedom loving states
Newsom be like: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eXWhbUUE4ko&feature=emb_title
These are democrats we talking about, what do you expect? It’s like asking toddlers to do math, they just have no idea how.
Yet, Calif people will still put the blame on DJT
Yeah, in terms of national COVID infection trajectory it's definitely DJT's fault. California though is currently ranked #32 out of 51 states including DC in COVID cases per capita, and #39 in deaths per capita so they're still doing reasonably well.
