my friend got a job (java dev) in verizon tampa FL, FTE, 80k+benifts (yoe 5) Is that how much devs in verizon are getting paid, is there room for negotiation, and is there job security?
That’s pretty low, I don’t know about Tampa specifically but most college grads come in at 70-80k in technical roles
What title
Seems low. I am in CA.
Not sure, he said its through infosys
Definitely low, what is the job title?
If it's Infosys it's a contractor position. As an employee Id think 20 - 30k more base, then 20% bonus and probably better benefits.
Can any Verizon employee chime in if Verizon pays hourly or salary?
Always negotiate no matter what company what role

Location? Seems v low unless in a rural area.

Seems low even for Tampa. Do they have Verizon data on levels FYI? What does Glassdoor say? Find Verizon salaries in other location and then use some CoL comparison tool
