Im in my third day at amazon and still havent received laptop or various codes to register my temporary accounts on my personal laptop. my manager knows this but I dont want to be annoying and keep asking. Have been reading up in publicly available info but its kind of slow so far. worried about asking too much or too little in these early days? Anybody else having bumpy slow virtual onboarding at amazon? TC $250k
You need to chill.
It's affecting most new hires, don't sweat it.. Your manager won't hold it against you
L5?
The on boarding would be slow for sure. However, The onboarding guide for the managers is very well defined so it should not be a problem if the manager is following each step. Don’t shy from asking your manager to do the right thing.
Oh I’ve asked but they are delayed in getting all the various codes. I have no idea if the IT department is backed up for generating the codes or what? The question is how quickly should I follow up.
You should keep following up until you’re all set to start working. People here are gonna recommend that you should chill and not bother. Your call if you want to make free money or follow the day-1 culture :)
Enjoy your short vacation
I’m in the similar boat, haven’t received laptop but got cloud desk setup, asked my manager about the laptop and now he seems annoyed. In your case nothing you can do so I wouldn’t worry too much
Its my 3rd week. And I received my laptop today. Till now i've been working on the cloud desktop. All you need are those codes which your manager itself will be eager to get process done a.s.a.p. So, all you gotta do is Chill! and enjoy the addtional vacay days. 😄
Did they mail you a yubi key?
