I don’t let racist control how I manage my life
Good for him. Why do I care?
Guys if you don’t like the topic or know about the NFL just move on. Sports is a microcosm of our society, with the NFL being the most popular. This case will inform and change many company practices going forward just was interested in the tech communities take.
your logic is pippable
There is 100% racism in the NFL, this isn't even a question. However, I don't feel like Flores has a case here. He simply didn't do what the franchise wanted, which is how you get fired. I guess he could argue about the Giants situation but as a Giants fan this rubs me the wrong way. I think Kap was a case of being frozen out, but not this. Interesting to see how this'll play out (by interesting I mean fairly cut and dry rejection).
I think they will settle but the Bill Belecheck accidental text may be the smoking gun. I get what you are saying with the Dolphins but what the org wanted was for him to tank ultimately hurting him if he did.
Yeah it's kind of a catch-22, but I'd say the Dolphins tenure was nothing to do with race, just a difference in vision and when you're an employee you never win that one. Can't wait for next season to start so my Giants are stuck with drama AND a mediocre QB who honestly needs to go.
Im an avid football fan, so maybe one of the few on this app even qualified to discuss it. I didnt read up on the Broncos allegations so wont comment there, but i think he has a case for the Giants. Imagine going to an interview and finding out the position was filled 3 days earlier. You would probably wonder why the team is still even interviewing you. The only reason is (a) theyre too nice and dont want you to feel bad at the expense of wasting everyone’s time or (b) theyre trying to fulfill some bs diversity rule. Unfrotunately, i think itll be hard for him to win. I applaud him making a stand for this though. He may die on this hill, and he probably knows that, but hopefully its a chance for real change in the NFL. For what it’s worth, i thought he was a good coach in Miami and was shocked at his firing
What is Miami even tanking for? I guess the O-Line literally doesn't exist, but are they moving on from Tua? Getting him an O-Line? I'm trying to figure out their strategy.
I think this was 2 seasons ago no? When they had the 5th pick and selected Tua. Apparently they wanted joe burrow?
Don’t care, he’ll be fine coaching a D1 raking in millions
Agreed. College coach pay is insane now. I am pretty sure that is his plan while he waits out a ruling if they freeze him out.
Miami is the only team that is potentially fucked here. If those allegations are true, that owner won't see opening day kickoff as owner...
The guy is banking on a settlement before pre-trial discovery. The only provable complaint is against the dolphins owner paying him to tank. The interviews stuff is just fluff and PR stunt. He's likely going to get paid millions and then head off into the sunset.

Am I racist if I don’t want to marry a Southeast Asian? (Korean here)
My thoughts are that who is he and why is he suing and why do I care.
