In the earlier days of ChatGPT the standard version was pretty slick for the tasks I do. Medium level SQL and basic table logic. I was able to churn out great stuff to supplement my work. Over the past few months I feel that the amount of mistakes and errors are out of control in 3.5. Simple math errors being a big one. I’ve purchased GPT4 for one month in past and it was nominally better. Is GPT 4 less mistake heavy? What is strategy here? TC $210k
Can I dm you for Cloudflare referrals?
No, I just quit last week after 3 years. The morale and work culture is horrific. They can’t even get health insurance correct, not offer a 401k match or pay for on call compensation in countries that legally require it to name a few issues
Gpt 4 sucks as well compared to early chatgpt. Copilot paid subscription is worse compared to original ChatGPT. Wonder if there is a technical reason or if this is deliberate @microsoft
Co Pilot is absolute garbage I can’t believe they actually allowed that to be available
Yeah GPT 4 when it came out was magic. Now I am actually using Google search more again, especially since it’s gen ai answers are pretty good
Even GPT 4 is making more mistakes and having errors. Many a time by the time it completes a task it occurs to me I could’ve done the whole thing myself faster and would’ve learned more. That is just for light SQL work and simple Python and Powershell scripts
This is hilarious. Isn’t AI supposed to get exponentially better as it learns? They must be purposely making it do this or putting so many dumb guardrails that it is regressing.
I think it was a combo of adding in all these new features. It used to be just the main client. Now it has mid journey, custom GPT, voice input/output, file input, it can create files etc I could see them nerfing 4 so people would flock to Custom GPTs, issue is those are kinda a dud too.
Safety team keeps gimping the model
To answer your question, no, nobody is purposefully making gpt 3.5 worse to cause you to upgrade
Blind strategy is to share total comp
Edited I’m so sorry
