I just had an interesting chat with people at Spotify. Before I move further, I would like to know what people think about the company. What's the culture like? What do you think about the product? How do they pay compared to other companies? Thanks!
Fantastic product! But I question the company culture. They have an awful recruiting team and some of the upper management Iāve met / interviewed with were arrogant.
Never understood the product. You have unlimited data? How much data do you use on it?
Likewise on the recruiting team. Passed their phone screen, and recruiter was slow to respond to my follow ups. Then tells me theyāve moved to a different direction. I pushed for more info, turns out they filled the position and asks me to circle back in a few months
Following as I have a chat with them as well.
Iāve seen the culture in both the US and Swedish offices and IMO the culture is great! I work with a widely diverse team of people in a really collaborative work environment. The product is a lot of fun to work with, itās a great brand with a great rep! The compensation is good, the esop is not great though but several of the Swedish benefits have been extended world wide like extensive paid paternity leave, 20-30 days paid vacation a year the option to work remotely or to move to offices in other countries. I personally find the work/life balance really great.
Like anywhere else, it has its ups and downs. Itās what you make of it. I get paid, I get free food all day. I get to travel between countries, why would I complain?
offtopic! how do i report a freaking bug? your facebook chat is useless for that. super annoying... songs keep on changing, playlist jumping.
Dying.
Ha. How are they dying when we just dropped Groove Music Pass to support them? So far, Spotify has been the most successful music streaming service available.
Dude, groove music, are you serious? That was dead before it even happened. We're just switching to the next victim
