Hi all, As a yoe 6+PhD eng for RnD synopsys offer, what should I ask for TC, bonus, stock? It should be staff position hopefully, they didn’t clarify it yet. Thanks in advance!
Bonus for L68 will be 14%, not much room for negotiation there (unless you mean sign-on bonus)
Thanks for the info. Stock bonus+sign-in bonus should be asked or just one? Would you suggest any amount if you would recommend such as 190k-210k TC with 400/4 stock, 40k sign in ?
You can negotiate sign-on bonus, salary, and RSU. The flexibility of those levers is in descending order, i.e. RSU is difficult to move them on. When you get a full offer sheet, you can ask them to adjust any of those levers and see what happens, or just tell them you’re looking for TC in a certain ballpark and let them try to move the levers to get towards it. I think 180-210 is an expected TC range for L68 but it can really be BU/team dependent and also how the HM thinks of you. Good luck!
