Just thinking about learning front end and was curious which path is more marketable, where do you guys see the future? Should I learn node or ruby and Ruby on Rails?
I would choose node. node is used a lot right now and getting hotter. I haven't seen much new projects using rails but a lot using node
yeah legacy applications are Ruby on Rails but I hear a lot are moving off to things like Golang for the performance benefit where Node.js is highly utilized and ever growing.
Node
node.ja is used everywhere and in the future js is going to take over the world :)
Node
node
both. Nodejs has more jobs, but rails engineers are well compensated
in my experience Ruby On Rails is more fun but Node is probably more sought after by employers. Wasn't the case a few years ago but that's tech.
