What is the return to office culture like at BlackRock NYC? Are the three days a week fairly typical across the board?
I think they do 2 to 3 days a week. A friend of mine interviewed there. The hiring manager wanted him there 2 days a week. This was for NY location.
They're really pushing for 3 days a week and not willing yo compromise. Its all political BS and everyone kissing ass. The situation isnt ideal for working parents to young kids. Also, depending on what department you work in, the technology isnt up to par which means long hours, both at home and in office. They're eager for people, so try to negotiate what you can.
In SF return to office is hardly happening
It's definitely happening on the east coast. They're pushing for it very hard. Collaboration and the importance on being together is expressed in every meeting and townhall.... As if they didn't hit unprecedented record highs while everyone worked from home đ€·đ»ââïžđ€·
It is hard to believe we are still talking about RTO after 2+ years into pandemic. "Everyone is expected to be in the office EVERYDAY". lol
Whatâs has your experience been at BLK?
In India too it's hardly happening.
I talked to someone in the HR systems and it appears 19% havenât been in the office at all. They want people to come 3 days a week and looking for ways to encourage people but as of right now they are not threatening. Senior leaders and going around offices asking people how can they make people come back to office.
Messaging is firm on 3 days a week in the office but I know people on smaller teams that donât come in that often. The directive is def from the top down so as they mediate teams not hitting 3 days a week on average they start pushing on the managers to enforce it more
Management has relayed that if the 3 days a week isnt met by a certain date in May, it will be deemed as voluntary resignation.
Anyone?
