Pros and Cons of having Senior management from QA background

The Question may not exactly reflect the point I am making but try connecting I was noticing some teams with better balance, work, and respect with respect to others. while my team is in a "crazy own everything and delivery everything as quickly as possible mode, thereby screwing up practices, timelines, and work-life balance and eventually resorting to being politically correct than being really correct" other teams seems to be more focused, handling what their strong area of expertise is, detailed, and precise in terms of Software Engineering practices. also to mention a large chunk of my team is full of manual testers and that means escalations, bug fixes, features, POCs, stakeholder management, design, code, code-review, Hardware, Fucksake everything is done by a few handfuls of devs. my manager kept me in the dark with the "its a learning trap" and I started to realize of late, the pay is peanuts compared to other companies for sure. a look back at history this team used to be good, where my manager used to report to a directory who apparently is pure development background, but after some org changes, which are constant by the way, this chaos started blowing out of proportion. I see my manager reports to senior director-level people and their background is, technically speaking not Software Development but, QA and manual testing while the other team's senior management is transitioned from the Dev side. P.S - I know some of you might say QA is Software Development but Trust me our QA knows Zero on development - they are kept that way citing "black box testing" as the reason which was fine 30 years ago but now in 2022 no way this company is a sinking ship I've been here for more than half a decade so it's not a single year observation I really want to know what your current senior management is transitioned from and do you experience a similar situation I'm just reading too much into it.
