Just finished interviewing and deciding between two roles. One is a pure Android dev while the other is a generic backend java position. Offer 1: 245 TC Android dev Offer 2: 240k TC Backend dev Essentially Iβm trying to decide wherther i should try to specialize as an Android Developer or if I should try move to the backend or another area. I have 1.5 YOE in android development already at my current company and a previous internship at Google also working in Android. Which do you guys think is better from a long term career standpoint at FAANG-type companies? TC difference is insignificant, please leave advice in comments, would really appreciate it.
Id say backend if you're indifferent. If you have a strong preference for Android though go with that.
First, what were your experiences with Android? Like what did you build
Backend will give lots of scope, Android is very specific unless u r very much into Android
Backend unless you wanna only do simple work π
No brainer. Backend.
Why so?
