How does it workout for current employees of shape security with F5 acquisition ? Are they getting all their options in one go ? or does that happen in over a period of 4 years ?

So now the deal is closed - is it worth joining shape under F5? I’ve an interview line up. Not sure how the stock options works under F5? Does anyone working over shape shed some light? Is there any lay-off? How’s the climate after the deal closed and what happed to current stock options (shape)?
Reach out to your recruiter, it's Day1 AF F5 so everyone (including Recruiting) are onboarding to F5. Also, no layoffs as the entire company was acqui-hired as a business unit.

Sure Shape stock options vest at a given rate on the close. Same vesting schedule applied for Shape options, but those are now awarded in equal dollar value of f5 stock. Whole company was acquired with payouts on vested Shape stocks and new RSU grants to keep everyone (including the execs) in place. Example: if you have a monthly ISO vesting value of Shape stock vest at $1500 then you get $1500 worth of f5 in your vested bucket at E-Trade. These are separate from the new f5 RSU schedules.
I heard a rumor that Shape's executive comp was released to all Shape employees. Is this true?

it will but sometimes depending on the deal, everything vest at once esp if this is all cash deal. Dunno what happened exactly with the deal
