Can work on fixed part specially in current market. On jumping to service based company, please don't (personal experience)

Thanks for reply. I've heard it from many people. But can you elaborate about the issues associated with a jump from product based to service based? Would be extremely helpful for me to decide.

Just started giving interviews. This is my first offer. I've heard that Thoughtworks has great learning opportunities. So thought about joining. Will try for other companies as well.

Thoughtworks is not a bad company. You will get to learn a lot depending on the project assigned. So do thorough evaluation on the project, roadmap, tech stack, scale, development opportunities and if there's any bond with the clients. That being said, since you have 4.5 yoe, would recommend you to get referrals from blind and other people working in product based companies. You need not target the big faang type companies but you can also target other growing companies which are desperately hiring. Just check on LinkedIn, number of openings and growth rate (requires LinkedIn premium) in a company and try to get referrals from people working in those companies. When companies are desperate to hire, especially since the market was/is hot, they don't tend to nitpick a lot on interview performance as long as they see that you are someone capable of getting things done, so your chances to get into those companies are higher. Regarding TC, try to target anything above 30 LPA per year, there are plenty of companies that can offer that for your YOE. It's just a matter of clearing the interviews.

Thanks for this comment. Regarding the project and teams at Thoughtworks, they told me that I can chose them as per my interest. There is no team level hiring. You can chose your own project once joined. So, I don't see an issue there. I'm also preparing for the type of companies you've mentioned. But, it will take some more time for me to crack them down as I've just started with preparation. However, my current team at SAP is sh*t. I want to get out of this ASAP. So, thought about taking this offer. But my major concern now is, will I continue getting calls from these companies like Amazon, OCI and all if I'm working with Thoughtworks? What would you suggest join Thoughtworks or wait for few more months at SAP?
