Hi guys, I recently interviewed for SparkCognition SWE 2 role. They are not telling value of the stock options unit. For startups, stock is big component. Any help would be highly appreciated.#tech TC: 🥜 YOE: 3
Did they give number of options the FMV before all this stock market crash was around 16$.But its all based on how the company performs and when would it go public. I worked there for 3 yrs before i left there were talks that would say atleast 2 more yrs even if it goes public i doubt you would gain much since your strike price is going to be higher so dont count on options see if your base is good

I think you’ll find difficult to evaluate at most startups. Even if they tell you strike price and your shares, they’ll withhold the total shares so you have little idea on value. Persistence within the company may help find this information.
Thanks
I heard from startup friends that they got to know total shares as well before accepting the offer.
